Vash the Stampede
Rem was responsible for educating the pair, including things about plants, the ship, humanity and skills like playing the piano. Vash was very close to Nai, oblivious to the fact that Nai seemed to find him to be a bit of a pest. He always wanted to hang around his older brother. Vash also greeted all of the humans whether they were asleep or not on board.
The catalyst for the end was the discovery the pair had of finding Tesla - a previous Independant like them who had been tormented and dissected for science. Nai got very angry, and Vash got very sad. Vash gave Nai the code to the ship's console, simply as something to share with his brother and Nai took the opportunity to destroy the fleet, crashing humanity down on the worthless planet that is Noman's Land. He ensured the ships with the plants would survive. Rem would die in this accident, and Nai told Vash it was his fault for giving him the code, and that they were co-conspirators.
Vash was devastated.
He was picked up by the crew of SEEDS 3 after Nai left of his own accord and was treated as an aberration, and something dangerous. Vash would be locked into a small cell while the people around him debated whether or not they should just kill him. Vash was mostly oblivious to that because he was depressed now that he'd lost both Nai and Rem, and accepted that the crash was entirely his fault, even if it wasn't.
Things changed when he heard one of the plants on the ship crying out to him. The humans on board weren't sure what to make of the plant in distress and at the same time, Vash was at the door of the cell, banging at the door, begging to be let out to help. Although skeptical, he was brought to see the other plants and Vash walked up to the distressed plant, placed his hands and forehead on the glass and calmed her down, stabilizing his sister.
From that point on, that became Vash's job on SEEDS 3, and as they moved plants around to establish cities and towns for the humans, Vash would be sent to deal with plants in distress. The crew significantly warmed up to Vash and realized he wasn't a monster and with a purpose, Vash found his will to survive.
When they finally recovered the black box from SEEDS 5 and heard the recording of Nai blaming Vash for the accident, there was another discussion about how uncomfortable Vash made them and whether or not they should act on this or let it go, because by then they knew him and it seemed quite unlikely he intentionally did any harm. Vash overheard part of the conversation and decided to run away, but found himself being called to by a plant and so, he detoured to where they were being held. This would be the first encounter with his brother and his brother's plan to collect all the plants.
Infuriated by the death of the plant that was calling to them, Knives would kill the humans in the facility, causing Vash great distress as he begged him to stop and asked him why he would do such a thing. Nai attempted to get Vash on his side, pressing a .22 into his hands, beginning with killing Luida, his ally on SEEDS 3, but Vash refused. The fight that Vash and Nai got into caused something to happen, in that his angel power went out of control, opening a gate in his arm and Nai reacted by severing the limb to save his brother's life. Vash would reject Nai's offer to make a world of only plants and when he attempted to go for Luida again - Vash pulled the gun on him. Rejected, Nai left promising Vash would see his plan come to fruition in a century or so.
Vash would eventually leave SEEDS 3 in an effort to explore the world, but would be continuously chased and sought after by Millions Knives, leaving destruction in his wake unintentionally. This earned him the nickname of Humanoid Typhoon, and his bounty. He would encounter Knives at Jeneora Rock, and with the destruction of that town, he resolves to stop running and make his brother understand. To that end, he has headed to JuLai.
This becomes difficult as Vash has had several atrocities attributed to him mistakenly, from actions taken by his brother, Millions Knives. He presently has a bounty on his head of $$6 million. It often gets him into trouble when people decide they want that money and think they can bring them in.
Vash just wants everyone to get along, he doesn't mean any harm at all. He will always take the non-violent route if he can find it. If he can't, he'll minimize the damage as best he can. He refuses to kill anyone.
He believes all life can live in harmony if they just try.
Physical Attributes Wings and a halo, these ones are meant for flight. White, unlike his black ones he usually has in combat.
Non-physical Qualities He has an innate sense of finding people who are in trouble, and he's a little sturdier. Not that he needs it.
Reasoning Vash's entire ethos of wanting to protect all life and shower all life with love and kindess as a martyr figure is very much in line with the many Legends. He has endless mercy and compassion and will sacrifice his discomfort to appease someone's vengeance. His body tells the tale, countless scars and wounds from people hurting him over and over again to satisfy their needs and desires at his expense, and still he has nothing but an endless well of love for those around him. It would be incredibly difficult to find anything at all that Vash has done to hurt someone else intentionally. He deeply cares about those around him, even if it's not reciprocated.
History
Vash was born with his twin brother Nai on the 5th SEEDS ship from one of the other plants on board. From the time he was born, he was connected to a human caretaker named Rem Saverem. Vash and Nai grew much faster than other children and within that first year would grow roughly as much as a ten year old human would.Rem was responsible for educating the pair, including things about plants, the ship, humanity and skills like playing the piano. Vash was very close to Nai, oblivious to the fact that Nai seemed to find him to be a bit of a pest. He always wanted to hang around his older brother.
